Abstract

“Until the Reformation, the Bible was read in Latin, in the translation of Jerome. He even smuggled Jesus into the Old Testament.” With this introductory sentence, Lang casts a fresh, idiosyncratic look into the five volumes of the bilingual Vulgate Tusculum deutsch, which was published in autumn 2018.
