Abstract

This article aims to check on the history of interpretation of Kings as a pre-study for the VTP-Commentary Series. Because Kings has rarely any commentaries in Late Antiquity here, the Latin tradition’s history of interpretation up to the Eve of Reformation will be looked at. The example is 2 Kgs 23:30–25:30 and the questions are: what lines or details of interpretation are there? Which is the role of Vulgate as an (interpreting) translation in it?
